Suggestions --have your
boat secured for sea, have a crew aboard that is reasonably experienced to share the duties, time your transit trip so you reach Cape May in daylight, avoid a tight schedule and look for a
weather window to cover the 100 odd miles, hire a
weather service like Commanders Weather( very inexpensive, very reliable ; added comfort for a first trip offshore). For the transit up Delaware Bay just take advantage of the incoming tide to the C&D
canal. And have a great seafood dinner in Cape May!
