We have a 1993 Privilege 43, and have had her for 3 years. We have been impressed with the quality of her build, and feel she will last us for another 10 years, or the rest of our cruising life, after we finish refurbishing her - new engines and
electronics, some hatches, add
watermaker, etc, as the
current kit is a bit tired. We have replaced the Standing
rigging this year.
They are very solid yachts, and she seems to handle rough conditions well. We average half the
wind speed roughly, but ease things off around 25Kts and over, as we don't want to stress her or us.She is much faster than my previous 40' Mono.
We have met a few privilege owners since we have had her, and all seem to love their boats. I also recommend you have her checked by a good
surveyor prior to
purchase so you know what you are getting.
cheers
