The Mexican government has entered into an agreement with a United States conservation group to monitor efforts to preserve a rare porpoise in the Sea of Cortez...

Hmmmmmmm . . . an eco-terrorist group joins in partnership with the Mexican government (our dear Friends to the South) to save the Vaquita Porpoise. I wonder if it will be as effective as our collaboration with them in the War on Drugs!

Alcatel,
Our experienced President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder(who was held for contempt of court in this matter) thought is was brilliant strategy . . . however, perhaps a combination of saltwater and the Vaquitas unarticulated flippers will render the firearms inoperable . . . who knows what might ensue . . . first the Vaquita . . . then the world!

Re: Mexico/Sea Shepherd align to protect rare Sea of Cortez porpoise

Marine biologists doing research there found a porpoise with feet like appendages. They debated removing the feet so that the porpoise could live a normal existence, but the chief veterinarian ruled that that would be defeating the porpoise.😄

Re: Mexico/Sea Shepherd align to protect rare Sea of Cortez porpoise

another good reason not to sail sea of cortez.
nothing like sailing on a lovely afternoon and being accosted by a violent anti everything gang on the water.
met one of their captains in marina del rey in 1991. we conversed for over an hour.
not impressed with their impressive lack of maritime knowledge and blatant violations of same.

i didnt realize the vaquita was being hunted or harmed in any way. other than finding selves in mexican drift nets for days.......

Since the thread has been revived:

In the discussion about arming the porpoises, how come there was no mention of "frickin lasers attached to their heads"?

or just:
