New Papeete Tahiti Cruisers Guide (Goods and Services)

Since Papeete is the first place from Panama that cruisers can source parts and individuals to do boat repair and there is NO local VHF net here - I have been working on putting a services guide together.

Panama City, Panama has a wonderful guide put together by Debi & Victor on Serenity. Its the go to for anything in Panama City. I wanted to mirror this guide.

First I needed a local French person to sponsor the guide. Luckily i found Juliene just down the dock from me. He is a yachtie, French and IT professional and lives in Papeete. How perfect is that. Taking the Panama guide he created a website and made it available to the public. PLUS its downloadable as a pdf!

Tahiticruisersguide

If you have been thru Papeete in the last couple of years and could pass on suggestions of services or individuals who they found helpful. Just send me updates either via PM or thru the email on the top of the guide

Please feel free to use the guide and let others know its available. We are continuing to enter updates on a daily basis.

Safe Sailing and thank you!

Re: New Papeete Tahiti Cruisers Guide (Goods and Services)

Hi Liv

Great to see you are still onboard. We have used your notes on French Polynesia and found them very helpful. Thanks for putting the info out there. We are closing on the end of year two.

Regarding those guides you mentioned. A bit different than what was put together in the Tahiti Cruisers Guide which also includes medical services as well. Hoping it will prevent folks from struggling with where to find specific parts and services. Next is trying to link the people and places to a map.

Thank you to those folks that have sent information for the Papeete guide. www.tahiticruisersguide.com

We miss your frequent updates Liv. all the best

If you are a marine service provider or know a good one, establishing a VHF net is a VERY good move for your business. Sure, it takes some work but the customers flocking to your door are worth every calorie expended.
