Sea Bird is a 45' C&L Explorer, built in 1979 in Taiwan. She was just hauled out and painted last December 2014. She is a Stay-sail Ketch w/ a center cockpit with sleeping space for nine, (2) fresh water showers and (2) heads, SSB/VHF radios, GPS, Captain’s Charts, am/fm radio, mp3 player with iPod/mp3 player hook-up, speakers all around, US Coast Guard approved safety stock, EPIRB life raft, Perkins 4.108 engine, fishing equipment, snorkeling equipment, propane BBQ, linens and kitchen tools. In addition to being completely stocked and ready to step aboard and sail, Sea Bird has all legal documents, up to date navigation papers and she carries the Costa Rican flag.



Sea Bird's home is Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, the most prestigious area of Costa Rica, sharing the waters with the Four Seasons in the Gulf of Papagayo as well as Occidental Gran Papagayo, the Hilton, Andaz, Mangrove, Playa Panama, Playa Hermosa, Playa Ocotal, Playa Matapalo (home of RiU), and several other well known vacation spots. The Liberia International Airport is a short 25 minutes away. Conveniently, the Marina Papagayo is located here to service vessels.

Why was the asking price reduced? It would be ideal to transition before the start of the next high season in December. Come mid-December, tours are plenty and we get really busy... government offices close and the whole country celebrates. It’s quite an experience! We love it and are happy (and grateful) to keep doing this until we can find the right people.
