Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35 - Opinions, Please

Just sold the mono, and looking at a Tobago, as someone from the dark side I would value your opinions on these cats. Use will be for a couple, cruising north from Sydney east coast Qld, up to Darwin, then to Asia then western pacific. What should I look for are there any issues, apart from normal boat stuff?

Thanks.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35 - Opinions, Please

Wife and I have been living full time on our since 2007. Never had any real issues with the boat itself, just a marina that yanked it into a bulkhead during a haul out. Cracked the vertical seams on both hulls. They repaired them satisfactorily.

It can take more abuse than I can give it.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Tobago 35 - Opinions, Please

We, too, recently sold a 40' monohull and purchased a Tobago. Currently just "making it our own" and enjoying some coastal trips in Eastern US. So far we love it!

I would say that if you are over 5'10", the owner's berth (athwartships ) would probably be too short. The starboard side aft berth is much more roomy.

Sails well, but be prepared to go slower than your 46' mono!

Storage under the berths is huge. Galley storage is minimal but I'm learning how to stow items better!

For the money, a great boat!

Karen

The Tobago 35 has been on my shortlist for some time. Anyone know the boat K'EVE, now Moondance?

She seems to be in great shape but has been on the market for quite a while.
