Re: Downhill Run from LA to La Paz

Hi Brian. My name is Phil Pearl and I am interested in joining you on your trip to LaPaz. Im 58, retired from 35 years in the land conservation field, very fit, seasoned outdoor person (mountaineering and river guide experience) and I am a curious and interesting conversationalist. I have a wilderness first responder (and was a former EMT) and swift water rescue certification related to guiding river trips on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I have no sailing experience other than a ride home when I solo kayaked the entire coastline of Maine some 25 years ago.

Im a healthy hard working guy that craves adventures with interesting people. I've been down to Baja perhaps six times now. If any of this resonates, please contact me at 928.266.5297 or phil@vonpearl.com. Thanks.

Re: Downhill Run from LA to La Paz

Hello,
I'm intrested in being crew on your LA - La Paz trip. I've read your blog about the trip last year and it sounds perfect.

The system won't let me PM you since I don't post much.
I've been sailing 4 years. I've crewed a 38' cat from St. Lucia to Antigua two years ago and last year crewed a Westsail 42 from Guatemala to Costa Rica non-stop in some fairly bad weather and am looking to build on those experiences in anticipation buying my own cruiser in a few years, possibly based in the Sea of Cortez. I currently own a windrider 17 trimaran which I sail on the North Channel of Lake Huron.

Please write back if intrested and I'll send you more information privately.
Thanks
