Good luck. I had to pull a pump on a Yanmar 4JH and it got waaaay more complicated than I anticipated.

WCG, my stepson is willing to help you out. I will PM his contact info.

Ive not worked on the MD7A, but the injector pump on the MD2020 is easy to pull and no worries about timing because its cam driven. I assume the MD7A is similar, but dont know for sure.

Careful with those screw. These are a critical torque items. Service manual has tightening torque specs. Be very careful with alignment and correct torque on reinstall.

Frequently check oil level after reinstall in case there are any fuel leaks into the oil sump (voice of experience: I damaged a pump on reinstall once, engine ran fine, but it leaked into sump...fortunately I caught it). An overfilled sump can cause a run away state...bad, very bad.

Definitely will note that. We will be keeping an eye on it for a while after the rebuild/repair.
