Perspex Window fitting

Am after a bit of advice with regards to perspex window installation (you can see my window openings in the image in my photo gallery).

I have created separate openings for each window in the pilot house, as I wanted to be able to keep them as flat as possible and be able to deal with smaller panels should I need repairs or replacement.

So my question is what is the best method of fixing the windows to the frame/sills? I am leaning toward a good quality bonding/sealant compound, but does anyone think I should also use SS screws or similar, or will the bonding compound do as good a job as I have heard around the traps?

Thanks in advance.

Gazza.

Re: Perspex Window fitting

If using screws then holes will need to be oversized to account for thermal expansion.

Sikaflex 295/295UV may be a good adhesive for this application, but confirm vs your acrylic formulation.

Jamestown Dist has a good adhesives application table here:

Butyl tape/sheet may also be useful to you.
