For Sale: 1980 Catalina 27 on Trailer

Ahoy,

I am selling my C-27 on an over sized trailer. Wife has ailments. This boat is located in Truth or Consequences NM. It is on a Tri-axle trailer with 7500# axles. Boat is 8300#'s. Tires have some cracks but I had a mobile home mover check it out and said these tires are some 12-14 plys and he would take it anywhere. I also have 2 spares. I'm selling her cheap so you can dress her back up. Have video of her running when I took her out last year. Atomic 4. Fresh water boat. Still winterized with mystery oil in cylinders and water properly drained.

Lots of stuff but here's some points:
Standard rig w/ optional 4'10" draft, points great and can handle wind, Atomic 4 (gas) w/ water separator and filter, Edson steering w/ SS handrail, folding teak table, teak cup holders, and emergency tiller, Auto pilot, dual battery charger w/ 2 good batteries. Keep plugged in for charging, dinette upgrade package, split stern rail with boarding ladder, split backstay, Harken R/F, outboard bracket, bow mount anchor, bimini, fish finder/depth, rap around (3) cockpit cushions, Indigo prop. ( installed right before I had to haul her),, installed new ball valves and screened filters, hoses for ice box, sink, head, Has head treatment system. Macerator- can't dump in lake ( switch is broken for sure and never replaced for obvious reasons), but Factory plumbed, foot pump in galley along with connection for sink sprayer, also rigged to allow filling water tank directly from inside boat while water is hooked up, Spinnaker ( couldn't say condition never used, spinnaker pole w / deck attachment, 155 genoa in good cond. w/ furler cover, 110 good but furler cover torn, mainsail fair to good, mainsail cover nice, auto bilge in boat and manual in cockpit, Alcohol stove in very nice shape with rebuild kit if needed, carry on air conditioner, but no canvas. Picked up A/C 2 years ago and never completed for the health reasons. Clean interior.

This boat shows her age and needs bottom job, cushions old, but I just used a sheet but???, needs new wire to rope halyard. Old VHF, but works and I have new cable and PLL connectors for antenna, I'm in a lake so I just use my hand held vhf. I also have 4" Serta memory foam 80" x 80",( California King size) I was going to use to replace some cushions.

She sails great and needs some TLC. Hate to part with her especially because slips and rent are getting crazy. I also liked that I could sail in blocks. Trailer to one port and leave trailer then just pick up trailer when I was done. Lots of versatility to see this beautiful country coastal, lakes, Bahamas... You can also save thousands, I did, by being able to do the work on the trailer. Last August I booked her out with NADA and came to $20,478. (low retail) and ( $25,471. Avg. retail). PS. Have 1981 Venture of Newport I already bought the supplies for to beef up boat. Paint w/special 333 thinner, circuit panel ( hate the old fuse type), tiller... Selling her too. Make great deal for both??? With or without 9.8 Mercury O/B. 1984 but , hand to God, maybe 10 hrs on her, I worked for the original owner that tried it with a dual set up and said " I think I'll just buy a bigger boat". New impellar last year and fuel tank, fuel line, plugs, very clean. Just a thought. Have $3700. invested, but???
