Cheaper booze at duty-free in USA or locally in Grenada?

So serious question here...
Is it cheaper to buy booze at duty-free in Miami airport, or locally in Grenada?

Chartering next week down in the Windwards, and need to stock crew rations. This is critical to the success of our adventure. :P

Canadian drinking habits, looking for beer, wine, and spirits.

*Cheers*

Re: Cheaper booze at duty-free in USA or locally in Grenada?

I have limited experience with airport duty-free shop, but would explore the possibilities of stocking up on your liquid consumables away from the airport at local outlets in/around Miami.

Duty free or no, airport stuff almost always carries the airport markup to cover the high rent and other airport fees.

That, and I think finding beer at a duty free shop is unlikely.

Also, selection at a liquor store will be immensely better.

"Duty Free" ain't. Much cheaper to go to a warehouse style liquor store.

There is a duty free store in the airport after you arrive in Grenada . Beer and rum is better purchased at the grocery store there. Stuff like gin may be cheaper at duty free . Wine can be a bit expensive depending on what you like to drink . There is a duty free store in Port Louis marina that has reasoably prices on a limited selection of items (bring your ID) . Mix can be expensive .
HAve a good trip and support the local economy

I am curious about how much booze you are actually allowed to bring from port to port. In sv Delos they pack the boat with six months worth of beer, wine and spirits then just go sailing around with all of it. Is that common practice?
