Panama California but 'out of season'

Hi all. It looks like I may need to move my boat north from Panama in Oct which is before the end of the hurricane season. Forecast from NOAA is an expectation of a 'quite' season this year. Any one had any experience on this route during Oct/Nov. Looking at weather patterns I am wondering about a route close inshore to stay inside the main formation zones. I do have access to the NOAA hurricane watch on board so hopefully would get a few days warning of things developing.

Re: Panama California but 'out of season'

we have our very very bestest furycames in october to november. weather watching is important..the alerts are too late. must watch from invest to dissipation.
there is no such thing as a sudden furycame despite richard spindlers careless commenting/reporting in his latitude 38 magazine.
there is minimum of one week of advance notice as it forms from invest and grows into deadly bitch.
pay careful attention to passage weather, nhc, and eeb mike.
november was a jova month and oct for patricia.
