Air X Wind Turbine Braking Problems

We have an Air X 400 watt wind turbine with a power switch and brake switch. We can't seem to stop the unit when the brake is engaged. It seems to operate fine, just can't shut the unit down.

Any suggestions?

Braking on these units is just simply shorting the leads together. It’s quite possible that your switch has corrosion on the contacts that isn’t sufficiently low resistance to shut the unit down.

Try shorting the unit output leads together. It the unit stops, replace the switch.
