Ultra bilge pumpswitch senior

Greetings fellow seafarers,

Being not too bright or organized, as my wife seems to frequently remind me, I purchased four of these amazing switches, best out there in my opinion, but ended up with three 12VDC models and one of the 24/32VDC version. As I need 12volt models, this one is up for sale, or trade if you happen to have a 12 volt switch that you want to trade straight across for. It is new, in the box with manuals but does not have the clamp to attach to bilge pump. I replaced all mine with AWAB clamps and custom G10 brackets and in the process seemed to have misplaced the stock clamp.

Price-$100 USD

Shipping- will fit into USPS flat rate box if in the US, buyer pays actual costs

Location- in my garage, on a shelf, in a cabinet, above the spare wire ties, next to the racor filter elements, behind the saildrive spare zincs, below the box of old parts and screws that I will most likely never use but can’t get rid of because as soon as I do I will surely need one incredibly rare, hard to find, seldom found, impossible to locate part buried in the bottom of said box. Don’t laugh because you know you have the same box/bin/jar in your boat/shop/garage. Oh, this is all in Seattle WA by the way.

Safe Journeys and fair winds,
~Jake

I wasn’t aware of a different switch for different voltages, I wonder what the difference is?
Sorry, I’m a 12V guy too.

Hola,

That is a good question that I am unable to answer. Do you think it has something to do with the high water alarm switch? I considered just hooking it up to 12 volts and giving it the old college try but with my luck I will ruin it.

I could only guess that higher voltage may be more likely to arc, but wouldn’t think that enough difference to matter. 12 to 120, yes but 12 to 32?
I really have no idea, maybe call the guy who makes them? I’ve heard he’s a little grumpy but you do get to talk to him and not some call center in India.

A64 I owe you one, maybe two!

So I thought it is the Fourth of July no one will answer but I will call and see what happens. Oddly enough I get through to Bob immediately. He informs me that the 12 vs 24 volt model are different because of the relay built inside. A normal on/off switch wouldn’t matter about voltage but since these are designed with a relay, for longer life expectancy, the correct voltage is important.

Now the best part, after educating me, which I could use much more of I am certain, he says just ship me the 24 volt switch and I will ship you a 12 volt version no charge. Talk about customer service!! Amazing products, a real person to answer questions and solve my problems.....all on the Fourth of July. O less.

Safe Journey,
~Jake

Good, glad you got it resolved.
I’ve heard different things about him. I believe how a person acts when they call him greatly determines how he responds, but that is just my guess, cause I’ve heard of him refusing warranty, and him bending over backwards to get someone back operating.

If you still have them I'll buy all of them!
