Did that race a few years ago. Lotsa fun. It’s really two races in one; down the bay then out to
Bermuda. Two different
animals.
The
Navy boats are incredibly well coached. They always do well unless they experience a failure.
What was shocking to me is how slow the McGregor 65 was. They must be booze cruising it.
XP44 should have crossed the line first by a mile. But in ocean
racing everyone has different
wind and that can screw with your strategy.
