New liveaboard family!

Hi all,
Unless something major happens between now and Friday, we are the proud owners of our new home, a 2003 Beneteau 473! It’s the 2-cabin version and we are already obsessed with her.

The purchase has been surprisingly smooth. We were planning on waiting until September to start looking, but while we were helping a friend painting the hull of his boat we found her. I guess that's Karma?

We were lucky to find a good buyer’s broker and a great surveyor (although time will tell of course!).

The only major changes recommended from the survey was a new water pump">raw water pump, re-bed a couple of hatches, and replace the float switch for the bilge pump. That doesn't sound bad!

Hopefully, we’ll start sailing our way back from Mystic, CN to Boston this summer.

I'm a firm believer that when things happen like that (smooooothly) it's meant to be. Have a ball!
