IN-BUILT GPS + WIN10 + OCPN on LAPTOP

hi guys,

ive got this problem, got dell latitude e6330 with in-built gps (or geolocation sensor according to device manager) but i cant get the data from this sensor to OCPN

problem is, that the geolocation sensor is under SENSORS tab in device manager.... so when i start connections in OCPN there is no COM port i could use, so i cant add connection, so i cat get location

on my other dell latitude e6330 ive got WIN7 and the geolocation sensor is under COM & LPT tab in device manager and all is working fine

my question is:
is there a way to pair OCPN with geolocation sensor w/o designated COM port? (talkin bout win10 mechanic)

thanks,

matus

(i will add screenshots later)

PS: for me the solution is, install WIN7

You probably require a third party driver that will allow you to set up virtual serial ports. As a start try, https://freevirtualserialports.com/ or VSPE Eterlogic - VSPE: tool for serial ports emulation
