New Engineered Rudder/Sail Component

Hello my name is Brenon Joseph I am a mechanical engineer and I got into sailing and started teaching other people how to sail in the summer of 2014. I noticed one problem with new sailors was their inability to operate the sail and the rudder Simultaneously. I created this device for new sailors who sail one sail sailboats like the sunfish, laser etc. so that they can operate the sail and the rudder at the same time even when they are tacking and jibbing. I have the device patented but I do not know if I should continue pursuing this idea.

Do you think it is a good idea?

How was your first sailing experience like?

Thank You

I was 3 at the time, so I don't recall. Just did it I suppose... Much to the horror of my mom who was standing on the dock

Welcome to CF!
