Stolen Beneteau
Please be on the lookout for a Stolen 373 Beneteau. Green Bimini and trim. Surveillance camera showed the boat leaving the Treasure Island Marina in Panama City, FL. last Thursday night around 8:00p.m. (20:00). The '37 Beneteau Sailing Yacht belongs to Captain Glenn Cowham. Capt. Glenn is the owner/Operator of Sunshine Sailing, LLC.
He used this yacht "Day and Night" exclusively for his work. If anyone knows of her whereabouts or if you run across her please contact the Bay County Sheriff's Office at:850-747-4700 or your nearest Law Enforcement Agency. Capt. Glenn is a friend of mine and a great guy. Ladies and Gentlemen, any help you could give would be greatly appreciated! - Sam

Re: Stolen Beneteau
The sailboat was found still in Panama City, FL. St. Andrews Bay. The person that reported it said it was hard aground. The owner is with the Sheriffs' Department as we speak. Waiting on Florida Wildlife and Marine to take him out to it. Extent of damage or condition of boat is unknown at this time.

Re: Stolen Beneteau
The good thing with Latino boat thieves you will always find your boat on the nearest reef ... ;-)))
How convenient.

That's funny. But seriously, the not so funny part is I understand it is in 2 feet of water. Not good for a boat with 5' draft.

Yeah, thats usually about how yatch thefts end. What boneheads....not like they can take it to the local pawn shop. [emoji10]
Would be funny if some yatch thieves would be stupid enough to post their escapade on YouTube...I bet some of the conversations are priceless.

Re: Stolen Beneteau
I'm hoping, thinking it's not badly damaged. I'm sort of familiar with the area and it's almost all sand, and easy to run aground, but not likely to cause damage, I hope

Re: Stolen Beneteau
What a relief (kind of) that it was found. Doesn't take much to steal a boat but it's not so easy to operate properly 😆
Hoping the boat's in good shape.

I had the same hope as well. Saw it back in it's slip. Looked as though it was listing to starboard a little. It took Seatow about all day, high tide was late in the afternoon. Anchor was laying on the deck, fishing line on the port stern, the boat looked a little ragged compared to it's Pristine appearance she was always in. It showed also where the thief tried to sand down her name on the stern. I heard the next day that it was said to be trashed inside. I would imagine everything that could be taken, was. The outboard motor was missing off the stern rail. It made me sick to see her in that condition. Thank you for your concern. - Sam
