Hi folks, I've been lurking for a while, figured it was time to join and participate in the discussion.
I'm currently doing a pretty major (for me)
refit on a 1952 carvel sailboat, similar in design to a thunderbird, the sail plan is identical but the real thunderbird is a
plywood hull with hard chines. Mine has a full length cast iron
keel and a
steel drop
keel.
It has a blue jacket twin inboard (gasoline).
I am hoping to have the
boat in the
water by the summer of 2018.
Im not a sailor (yet) in fact just this past summer was my first ride on a sailboat up near kingston
Ontario.
There's lots to tell but for now that's enough about me.
Oh ya the
boat is called The White Witch and I think she's beautiful!
