Gps and Opencpn.Org

My boat was burgled in Colombia this week and now i am without my laptop and opencpn. Also stolen was back up chart plotters, radars, hand helds and all radios.
I still have the gps puck.
I bought another computer with windows 7 and installed ocpn but cannot get the gps to register on the screen.
I tried different gps pucks, different computers, loaded the program from different sites, different drivers and still nothinh.
The gps receivers are being seen by the laptop and i have them set up in the connections box in the
Crescent wrench page correctly.
What can i do?
Im stuck here with no nav aids at all .. it was all stolen.
