Hallberg Rassy Rasmus 35 Ketch
With hard cockpit dodger, 46.5 bridge clearance, 4.5 ft draft, 3/4 keel, "Whish" is perfect for cruising and gunk-holing. I've single-handed this boat throughout NW FL and SE AL with no issues but sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 in the aft cabin. Air Conditioner (AC), water heater (AC or engine) and refrigerator (DC), 2 starter batteries and 4 house batteries, battery charger, AC Inverter and wind turbine generator allow lots of power when away from the dock. Hatches all have velcro screen and the cockpit has a full enclosure (I've not used). This boat is ready for your next adventure. Also comes with multiple maps, charts and sailing / navigation books and manuals. Currently located in Pensacola FL, $39,999. More picts and videos available for interested buyers.

Of course I can vouch for these boats. Very sea-kindly. For the price and with a newer Yanmar, it's a very good deal.

Very nice boats. Not the best at close quarters handling and a bit narrower than modern 35 footers but solid boats in all respects. A good deal with that engine.

Odd...mine handles very well in close quarter. Did you sail one that didn't? I would be interested to know.

It was limited experience. We delivered one from Marblehead to Stamford. Tight slip and I struggled to back it into the slip. With time I would have learned it I guess but coming from mostly race boats I found the full keel a challenge.
Very cozy boat though and we sailed down Buzzards Bay into a steep chop and she loved it.

Yes, compared to a race boat, they are slower to respond. I had a 25000 lb. Ingrid 38 and I use to call it a controlled crash getting that beast in a slip with the slightest cross wind.
The HR 35 in comparison is a dream. It has a comfort ratio of 30. That is higher than most 40 footers.

Very nice! ...and for 10K less than I'm asking for my boat. What's the year? I've always thought well of the HR's!

Re: Hallberg Rassy Rasmus 35 Ketch
Whish is a 1975 HR Rasmus, she was repowered by previous owner with the Yanmar 44JHE and I had the Kanzaki transmission rebuilt this past fall (Oct-Nov). We just took her through the ICW from Pensacola to Destin (mid Feb) and had no issues with the draft or bridge clearance (main reason I went with her). NW FL has some great gunkholing areas and some challenging bridge heights (Destin is ~48ft), but Whish with 46.5 ft to top of VHF antennae and 4.5 ft draft, has handled them all really well.

Happy (bit sad as well) to say Whish has sold and is on her way to her new home.
