No boat yet, but we hope to have a sailboat by January of next year. We're moving back to the States in August, so right now, we're just kind of looking online at different models and
learning as much about sailboats as possible so we can make as wise of a decision as possible. We'll be able to get some
training in sailing when we're back Stateside, as well.
Here in Napoli, we are always battling pollution and trash strikes, burning piles of trash, trash scattered all over the roads and
grass, trash in all the waters... we have a bit of a trash problem here and sometimes I can't even run outside without my eyes watering from the smell. The other thing I enjoyed about Slovenia was how fresh the air is and you can do so many outdoor activities. Maybe it's worth
learning Slovene after all.
Too bad my job doesn't have a position available there. A lot of my friends I
work with have been to Slovenia as well. We refer to her as the hidden gem of
Europe.
(So anyone reading this post, if you haven't guessed from my gushing about it, you should visit Slovenia if you ever get the chance! It is soooo worth it.)
