I'm interested in the 4" white cowl vents.
When they are in place, can they be easily rotated or do they screw into the deck ring. I just want to double check because I've seen some cowl vents that screw down and don't rotate.

Hi scherzoja,
Good question - I never got as far as to check on this but just had a look. The cowl screws into the deck ring. Once the ring reaches to the top of the cowl threads, it runs loose. There is a set screw on the inside of the cowl that allows you to keep the cowl in place. In other words, the cowl will be able to be rotated as long as the set screw is loosened. There is also a cover (with O-ring) for the deckplate to prevent water ingress when things get hairy (presumably you'd remove the cowls at that point). To remove the cowl you'd loosen the set screw, lift the cowl until it engages the threads in the deckplate and then unscrew it.
