BENETEAU OCEANIS 400

Due to my wife's health we are selling a very well found Beneteau 400. Lying in Fort Pierce Florida ( on the hard )
Canadian Flagged. This boat is extremely well equipped and truly a good Bahamas boat. Serious inquiries only to davidcfletcher@rogers.com

Re: BENETEAU OCEANIS 400

Year? Price? When did it last float? Too big for myself but I imagine you'll get more interest if you post some details or a link to a listing.

It is a 1996
On the hard under a sun cover as we use the boat Dec to the end of April.

I only want to discuss the details with serious people directly. It is a boat for someone who appreciates quality

From a buyers point of view... If you can't take the time to write up the details, with pictures, it makes me concerned about whether maintenance was kept up.
I'm not trying to be antagonistic or rude, just showing an alternate viewpoint to help you sell effectively.
Good luck and sorry to hear about your wife's health.

I do not have a lot of pictures of the boat on my home computer, I can send a few if somebody is interested on a direct email.

The price is 90K

Attached is a list of up grades and service etc.

Re: BENETEAU OCEANIS 400

I understand fully people not wanting to be bothered with tire kickers and posting "serious inquiries only" but it just isn't like that anymore. People have too many choices when shopping for boats that have lots of pics and info to go asking/phoning/emailing about a particular vessel. If the seller doesn't want to deal with all the crap it takes to sell a boat, he should really let a broker handle it. The broker will probably get his price after his fee and actually SELL the boat. This is not a slap at the OP, just an observation/advice. It's worth what you paid for it.

Nice boat by the way

Never my intention to be rude or not address questions etc. Just think jt should be done with sincerely interested people in a private manner.

The boat is now listed and is on yachtworld Fort Pierce Florida

I understand completely the desire to handle it that way. That is a classy manor as to sell something in that price range. Unfortunately, things are not that way anymore. Good luck with the sell. I have sold airplanes many times and its basically the same process. The manor in which you have to sell them now has changed with the advent of internet sales.

Thumbs up Re: BENETEAU OCEANIS 400

I am sorry about your wife's health and you need to sell. It is a beautiful boat and I wish you a speedy sale. I wish we were at the point of change. This would be in the running for sure.

Saw it the other day here:

1996 Beneteau 400 VERY NICE Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com

Lovely boat. Was on the wrong coast of FL to go see it. Was in the Sarasota area looking for exactly this sort of boat!

Interesting that you are looking for a larger boat but have to sell this one because of wife's health problems. Maybe you would like to address that issue?
