Lets go sailing, I have the time and resources you have the boat?

I am a 33 year old single guy from Boston Massachusetts. Several years ago I got into the car with a stranger and drove 48 hours cross country and became addicted to back country snowmobiling. I have all sorts of extreme hobbies but this winter I am hoping to mix things up a bit and spend a month or longer sailing around somewhere warm. I have no budget, no time restrictions and no worries! I am more than willing to contribute financially to anyone with a boat that wants to make a tirp but does not have the finances. Ideally looking for the month of December. I own a powerboat in boston that I use frequently so I can comfortable at sea, I am scuba certified and I believe very easy to get along with.

Hey man I'm a young guy who is also addicted to back country snowmobiling , I also happen to own a sweet sailboat that I can barely afford and I'm headed to Mexico this fall .
Was hoping to depart San Diego November .
The boat is safe and sea worthy but needs a ton of work that I'm currently struggling to do by myself . If you feel like helping out and going on an adventure let me know

Re: Lets go sailing, I have the time and resources you have the boat?

I have a 1971 Ericson 39, currently in Hancock Harbor NJ just off Delaware Bay.
I want to sail to Florida first then through the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos to Dominican Republic.
I'm hoping to leave late October or Early November.
The boat is very seaworthy but not fancy.
I sailed her here with a friend from Greenport N.Y.
I'm 52 and easy to get along with.
I'm studying for my OUPV Captain's licence and expect to have passed the test by Sept 7.
I have room for one or two other easy going people who want to share an adventure.
I don't need someone with a lot of experience but a willingness to learn is essential.
Contact me if you're interested.

How long is the entire trip?

I've done the same trip in the past.. Florida, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and The Dominican Republic.

The entire trip is about 3000 nautical miles. It's feasable to finish the trip in a month, but I expect we will stop many places along the way. Miami, Bimini, Nassau, Georgetown..... I would expect to arrive in DR sometime in January. What's your schedule? How long did it take you when you went?

Any interest in crewing a trip from Fiji to Pohnpei? Check out Pohnpei Eco Adventure Guide and see all we have to offer!!! Legendary surfing and scuba diving! Dates can be somewhat flexible, but the sooner the better for us! We just bought a 39 foot monohull and need to get her back here!

When is the trip?

How long is the trip?

Is this a delivery or lots of island hopping along the way?

Are the crew responsibility for any expenses?

Re: Lets go sailing, I have the time and resources you have the boat?

Don't have exact dates yet, flexible as I said... Hoping for sometime in the next month or so.

Anticipate the trip being 3-4 weeks in duration.

It's a "pick up" for us, it's our boat and we are bringing her back to Pohnpei. There will likely be some stops along the way, but not for any long duration at this point. Will depend entirely on weather systems.

As far as expenses go, transportation to and Fiji and onward from Pohnpei, share of food, that's about it off the top of my head.
