Choosing a cat for family South Pacific Cruise

Hi everyone,

Just introducing us! We are based in Sydney with 2 kids age 8 and 10. We are currently looking for a cat with the plan for the kids to take a year out in 2019 and cruise the South Pacific.

My husband and I are both sailors (Hobie 16, and some bluewater yacht - Auckland/Syd, Coffs/Noumea, Coastal NZ delivery crew). So looking for the difficult compromise of a decent performance with enough room for kids and visitors and plenty of storage!

Will look forward to linking up with any other families who have 'boat schooled' as well.

Welcome!

We are a family of 5, currently living aboard and cruising our cat in Alaska. We depart for Mexico fall of 2019, with the plan being to do the puddle jump April 2020.
