Charter in the Canary Islands

Hi everybody!
My man and I are taking care of a Lagoon 57 and we want to Charter it to be able to put a bit of money aside. We were thinking to sail to the Canary Islands and charter there. Do you know if the Canary Islands ask for special local authorisation to charter or can we charter only with our Maltese commercial/charter flag?

Not a simple answer.
The Canneries are Spanish but not in the EU.
I worked there a few years ago. There were a few charter/sailing schools around and they were very protective of their limited market, and would have no hesitation in making life difficult for newcomers arriving.
Research the regulations thoroughly.
The cruising area is limited and you may make some pocket money but not a living.
