Bareboat charters out of La Paz?

I am looking for information on bareboat charters out of La Paz. I am hoping to charter a boat for five days/ four nights in April 2017. I've seen two options on the Internet - Seascape Charters and Bercovich Boatyard (though the Bercovich website seems to be out of commission recently). They both have older boats for charter (which is fine by me - I'm not looking for anything luxurious). Seascape is the more polished (and pricey) of the two. Was hoping someone might have personal knowledge of these outfits and their boats, or any other options that might be out there. Thanks in advance.
Cheers
p.s. There would be three of us sailing and we're experienced sailors - I have an old Spencer 35 that I've sailed as far north as Alaska and as far south as Hawaii

Re: Bareboat charters out of La Paz?

Too bad Moorings pulled out.

We met a couple from Germany in espiritu santo who had chartered a boat through a local doctor on Craigslist. Their motor wouldn't start so we towed them out only to tow them back in due to a lack of wind. I'm not sure how they faired but a good reminder to go through a reputable source.

I've heard good things about Berkovich but nothing about their charters. Might try emailing someone at Club Cruceros or try their Facebook page for more recommendations.

There was another La Paz thread recently. Check Dream Yacht Charters in La Paz. They are up and running now. We chartered there in 2012 with Moorings at that time & it was fantastic! Have fun.

The "La Paz Service Directory" on the Club Cruceros site lists some charter companies.

Yep we bought two boats from the Moorings base down there they both worked out great (thanks to my friend Brian who did a little magic with the wiring)
