Chartplotter

Waiting for the boat (survey planned for Dec 4), i am as well looking for a Chart plotter. Mostly coastal navigation in west Florida.

I was thinking about this one.

Any other recommendations or feedback?

Thx you

Chris

Re: Chartplotter

I prefer Garmin but I've never used another brand. Garmin has free software that allows you to create routes on a PC and then upload them to the plotter.

I suggest you return to that site and read the review of the unit posted on the site by a prior purchaser before spending your money. Note too that West Marine is not the least costly alternative when it comes to things marine, particularly so now that the Co's been taken private and is focusing on becoming a clothing retailer. You might want to look at other vendors such as Defender, iMarine et al.

FWIW...
