Hi Captain,

Do you plan to sail most of the time or motor? Are you planning to go nonstop or do you have some stops planned?

Charlie

We sail whenever possible, we still need to make a minimum of four knots to get back to Miami in a reasonable time. We're going to sail up through the Bahamas so that we can stop and snorkel each day when there's something to see. We sail through the nights.

How do you get your weather info? Do you use Chris Parker for weather?

Weather Underground WunderMap and NOAA. I prefer to use clean data and make my own choices after more than 30 years of sailing the tropics

Okay, then yes, we are going to be towing an 80 ft Motor Yacht from Puerto Rico to Miami with the sailing vessel Sundancer(2x135hp diesels&2500sq ft spinnaker). It's downwind, expected to be 10 to 20 knots of wind for the trip back

Towing a 80 foot motor boat downwind with a catamaran from PR to Miami. Someone needs to document this on YouTube!

In the pics it looks like a monohull ketch.

How much fuel do you carry? Any idea on how much you will use? I wonder if you will need to motor sail most of the time?

Sorry for all the questions but this is a very interesting trip.

Does the motor yacht have any power at all?
