Overall the trip was great. We used Predict
Wind for routing which worked well after fine tuning the polars for the weighted down
Lavezzi. It was lumpy in
parts but hey its the Tasman. Very much recommend taking the option of a "tech stop" at Lord Howe Island.
Also we were lucky that we got to sail straight through the middle of the Three Kings. Beam Reaching and eating freshly caught Tuna across the top of the North Island between Cape Reinga and North Cape was a highlight
