Re: DUfour 35

I had an old Arpege and loved the boat. I have always thought the 35 was a great looking boat. I watched your You tube videos and it looks like you guys are making some great progress.

Hi Taco

I am showing the Mrs, what your boat looks like now. She will never complain again about my mess. :-) Having said that my refitting would have been so much easier if I had the option of stripping and then rebuilding. It will be interesting to see your progress over the next months. Great thread.

Thanks for the encouragement! When you look at the "Pacific Fleet" it is a little daunting when you see all the modern larger boats. Having said that the D35 is strong and has the proven ability to do it. Just hope I am built the same way

The photos a pre refit. Alsorts of clutter around the stern and lower in the water.

Hi, thanks for your comment.

Yes, we are making progress, but as allways, it is more work than expected.
But that's no problem to us, we have plenty of time. And we love doing the refit.
Because we have plenty of time we are able to search fot new items for half prices.
The only drawback is that we have to work outside. Lots of work is depending on the weather.

We go for the best.

Taco.

This is the main reason why we are doing it this way.
Only main bulkheads are remaining.

We are wondering about the outer and inner scale of the hull.
It seems to us that they are not bonded together (with polyester for instance)

How are the bulkheads part of the structure in this case?

Taco.
