Newby Spain

Hi all,
Greetings from Mucia Spain. I have just joined and would like some info.
I have been restoring a 1973 Nauticat 33 and allthough she is not finished yet i am so far that i can take her out for the first time. I have been boating for some time but this is my first sailing boat, where do i start???? Should there be anyone living nearby i would love to hear from them as well as anyone who has
a Nauticat33 and can help me get sailing.
Thanks

Re: Newby Spain

Hi, I'm in Cartagena.

Just bought a catamaran. I'm relatively inexperienced myself (especially with catamarans, more comfortable with monos), but did take mine out single-handed for a bit of a play yesterday. I'm happy to come for a little day sail with you at some point.

Howdy Capt Rod. Welcome aboard CF!

I like the Nauticat boats and have looked at many.

I wish I was there in Spain, as I would enjoy seeing your restored boat and going for some sailing on it too.

Buen Viaje!

Welcome Capt Rod,

If your in Murcia then you're that much closer to paradise. I would recommend that maybe you head over to Denia, or the surrounding areas. Either way, enjoy yourself, your at the doorsteps of Spain's best coastal views. . The views and beaches you can enjoy are totally different from those we have in the Canary Islands

Re: Newby Spain

hola Cap Rod
I have a 1978 N33 which is moored in San Pedro marina (Murcia) and I have been working on her since I bought her six years ago. I have been sailing for 50plus years. and have cruised the med and went to Canaries but boat problems forced me into Rabat. When I did my yachtmasters they did not have GPS and plotters etc so it was a lot more complicated than now. I have fitted all the gismos that make single handed sailing safer and easier.
It seems you are based not far from me so email me (norkettp@gmail.com) so we can meet up. It looks like we have many common interests.
Best wishes
Paul Norkett
