I work on superyachts, and I love sailboats, but that thing is ugly and pointless. The only quality it has going for it is uniqueness.

The owner is celebrated by yachting publications as having "exceptional vision". It appears that the boat has masts too tall to clear the bridges that ring the Baltic Sea and has a keel too deep to permit it to exit the Baltic by any channel that lacks a bridge...

The design reminds me of the old Spanish galleons. Only thing missing are the holes on the side for the oars.

It does have quite a few portholes along the sides. The thing that gets me is how few windows total there are. It's mostly just flat walls of steel. There aren't even exterior walkways. How boring.

By comparison, Eos and Athena have something to look at.

It'll likely be able to do the quoted 16kts under sail. And I bet the guy who paid for it likes it.
