Hi, very interested in going to Costa Rica via panama canal. I am an ASA certified instructor and have about 10 years of sailing experience in Bays and Rivers. Looking for some blue water experience. Im in my mid twenties, easy going and would like to hear more about the specifics!

Re: 46ft Catamaran Sailing to Costa Rica (Pacific Coast)

My name is Alan and i have been living, working, sailing and diving down in the Caribbean for 5 years. I just recently was a first mate who helped deliver a 41' Beneteau from Tortola, through the Panama Canal, all the way down to central Chile. The trip totaled 4200 miles. This was an incredible learning experience and i am excited to continue in this field.
I hope to speak to you more about your trip if there is still availability. Thank you for your time.

Which positions are you looking to fill?
I've been working on board a 50 foot catamaran in Belize as a chef and first mate. I also have over 14 years experience as a Certified Massage Therapist.

Thank you
Carrie

Hi,

This is Gab, really Gabrielle. I posted a bit earlier and wanted to add a bit about myself. I also Speak Spanish and basic conversational French. I am not only a sailing teacher but also an artist and writer. I've worked at the PAMMuseum and taught drawing and creative writing. I'm hard working, prepare great food, and enjoy good humor and music.
When are you planning of departing?

Not too wined up. If I am interpreting this thread right I will convey my genuine interest in the excursion. May not be an avid chef, but I can and would cook. I'm a modern day pirate. All the best.

May God bless
Jeff

Re: 46ft Catamaran Sailing to Costa Rica (Pacific Coast)

Hi Not likely to make this journey with you but I spend half the year in Costa Rica (Atenas) which is close to Puntarenas and I often get down to Quepos. If you need crew when you get to CR or if you need a short leg from Panama City north I could help you out. I and my (chef) wife have 4 months offshore on a 411 Lagoon and about the same on monohulls...as well as ASA Bareboat, weather, VHF, and some other coastal courses and experience - mostly in the tropics. paulatpaulweigeldotcom
