any one have a good (and easy way) to take the air out of the water system.
kitchen tap got blocked, and after removing the blockage, especially the hot water system seems to be filled with air.
thanks

Re: air in water circuit

We get air in the lines when a tank goes empty. The pump is self priming so it should only require running a faucet for a minute or two. This gets most of the air out, the remaining bubbles come out with use in the other faucet - if there are no leaks. We run the faucet in the port rear bathroom as this has the shortest hose run.

A couple of points though, air can get in the system from a poor hose connection, they should all be double clamped. The water strainer cap can also allow air in if O ring has failed or lid is cracked from over-tightening. Also ensure the transfer valve is set entirely to port or starboard if one tank is empty. (Maybe worth opening the pressure relief valve on the hot water tank too - don't know if that would be an air issue or not).
