Impressive that it did not sink if it was inverted for such a long time. There are big seas in that area of the world, and I am surprised that it floated all that time with so much hull out of the water.

No identifying marks? I find it hard to believe there wasn't a hull ID number as they are usually molded into the stern on a boat this new and this big. I wonder if these guys knew where to look.

Do not want to capture the thread but here is a capsized cat found after 5 years drifting from the US East Coast to Madeira:

Five years inverted is even more impressive.

I have to admit, one of the reasons I sailed around the world on a catamaran was that it probably would not sink when inverted. I never lifted a hull out of the water during the circumnavigation, but I did it the easy way in the trade winds rather than doing high latitude sailing where risks are greater.

There does seem to be a striking resemblance between this marking:

and this (esp. the red and the curve of the sail):

Sure. It looks like Sunsail's logo under those barnacles.

Unlikely two of them capsized in the same ocean at the same time.

Yes.. I was both stunned and saddened to read this. Stunned that the hull had been floating around for over a year. I'm glad their families will have some kind of closure!
