Anchor - CQR 60 lb

CQR Anchor 60 lb. - - $200.00
Rarely used, it has spent most of its life on the aft deck as a back-up storm anchor. Hinged shank prevents breakout during wind shifts
A favorite among bluewater cruisers for its strength and performance in a wide range of bottom conditions. Excellent penetration in sand, weeds, rocks and mud. Trouble-free anchor roller stowage. Attach a trip line to the eye on the horn for easy break-out. Hinged shank prevents breakout during wind shifts. Forged steel construction. Hot dip galvanized.
Style: Hinged plow
Material: Forged galvanized steel
Application: Sand, rock and grass
Pros: Great reputation. Self-stabilizing, single point penetration, stows easily on an anchor roller, sets in most seabeds. Penetrates weeds, sand and mud. Hooks rocks
Cons: Requires larger sizes for given boat size. Swiveling head difficult to stow
Warranty: Lifetime warranty against breakage

Anchor Material Galvanized Steel
Anchor Style Hinged Plow CQR Anchor
Anchor Weight 60 lbs
Boat Length 45' - 65'
Bottom Type Sand; Rocks and Grass
Dimensions 44"L x 15-3/8"W x 16"H

Re: Anchor - CQR 60 lb

** Explanation or what we are listing ***
I have failed to mention enough times that ALL of the stuff we are listing is from our boat and has been collected over the years when I could sail and cruise. My terminal cancer has ended all of that so we are trying to find a good home for the stuff. Since quite a bit of it is "old" and no longer available or made, we thought cruisers might be interested - especially if you had one and now would like to replace your broken one with an exact or near duplicate and no longer available.

Re: Anchor - CQR 60 lb

Hi, I hope you are in remission. Despite health issues I am doggedly continuing to build my 70' steel schooner and am always looking for equipment. Is the anchor still for sale?

I'm sorry to hear that your husband died. I hope your sale of parts is successful, and please accept my condolences.

Re: Anchor - CQR 60 lb

Please accept my condolences as well. I've purchased a couple of your items and will remember the both of you every time I use them.

I wish I could have met you both. Don't let the sharks take advantage of you. Sad to say some will try.

Keep well, I suspect you will keep strong as well.

Rich
