SEEKING SASIKALA

Hello together. I am desperatlely looking for the ship owner of the sailing vessel sasikala and i dont know how to find and contact him. The reason is that those guys safed us yesterday night (sy athena) from a realy dangerous situation with probably fatal ending. They were like the angels we needed and we would love to get in conract with them since we didnt reach them with the com the morning after the almost desaster ("short" version: anker get loose, drifting towards cliffs midnight, everybody sleeping, somehow they noticed and safed us by screaming and wake us up while doing turns around us, .. horrible situation, i still hear the screams till we realized whats going on,... ). Im not the skipper but crew member and we need the contact to our saviors.
If anybody can help we would be so thankful. Thanks alot for any advice! Ahoi, marcel

Re: Searching sailing vessel owner that safed us

I’ve been on CF for several years. This is probably the very best post ever.

I hope you find your new best friends.

LuckyAthena,

If you like, we could change the title of your post, to add "SEEKING SASIKALA". It might attract the eye of someone who knows them.

Ann

Are you in VHF range? Maybe raise them that way, or either of the two cats anchored nearby.

Re: SEEKING SASIKALA

LuckyAthena,

One thing you can do, is "pay it forward". Instead of being able to gift them with a case of wine or something, just make a solemn promise to yourselves, that if you ever see a boat in trouble, you will cast aside your obligations and go help them as best you can, and as many times as you are granted the opportunity. If you want to, do it it the name of Sasikala.

I think you will find it rewarding.

As it is, you have already publicized that they are good guys. Someone may tell them.

Ann

Re: SEEKING SASIKALA

Hi Ann
Thank you for those whise and well said words. That promise is set, not only for sailing but for every life situation.
Hopefully someone will tell them but im sure fate will reward them. What they did can not be thanked by any material gift.
Thanks alot for your support.
Best regards,
the 'lucky' Athena Crew
