Caribbean Partnership Opportunity

We have a Cal 34' located in Cartagena Colombia. It is a Canadian boat. It is a beautiful boat, brand new motor, hard top, three large solar panels and ready to sail around the world. We are both 28 (male, female couple) living in Toronto. We are looking for 1-2 people that would like to buy 1/2 ownership of the boat ($15,000.00US) and plan an exciting adventure. We would entertain different types of partnerships(listed below). Boat appraised at $35,000.00US before the $8,500.00 new motor. Let's connect and discuss further.

We would also consider selling the boat under value if the buyer was interested in signing multi year contract with us to live aboard, maintain and captain the vessel.

We are currently living in Toronto working 9-5. Winter is coming and we are looking for an angle to get back to the Caribbean with our boat. However we have to structure the deal.

Not for everyone but if you see any potential we are open to chat.

Re: Caribbean Partnership Opportunity

Do you have any pictures? I'm also in Toronto. I have a Humber College keelboat course and recently owned a sailboat with a view to live aboard somewhere warm. Not sure I totally understand what you are proposing . . . .

Re: Caribbean Partnership Opportunity

Hey Churchmouse,

I'm not sure if these will upload or not. Send me your personal email if you cannot access the pics. We live in Toronto and are able to meet anytime for coffee. We are open to multiple partnerships, a connection is most important. Send me a PM if you wish to continue chatting.

We either want a 50/50 partner on the boat. Term sheet would need to be put together outlining the partnership. We wouldn't mind taking it to Asia but definitely would consider keeping it in BVI or Panama as more of a timeshare situation. Or if someone would like to buy the boat. We would consider selling undervalued under certain terms.

Cheers,

Logan n Mel

Re: Caribbean Partnership Opportunity

Thanks for the reply. It is a 50% ownership and sorry we will not be relocating to Argentina. Panama or another location within the Caribbean is negotiable.

Thanks for your interest.

Re: Caribbean Partnership Opportunity

Hi All,

I was in a series of talks with Logan and Mel RE their boat. Was really excited to join their adventure, and Logan and Mel are super folks. Even went to check out the boat in Cartagena.

This has the potential to be a great boat for the right person. The boat needs some work (as would any of this age), but has very good bones and has some nice features.

Logan is completely stand-up and shared many details about the boat. Definitely worth a chat with him if you're interested. At the end of the day, between the boat being a bit small for my large family and a touch farther than practical for me to be able to help put in some of the needed sweat equity given my limited time off, it not the right time for me. I hope someone else has a chance to get involved!

Warm regards to all, and thanks to Logan for working through the initial details with me.

Cheers,

Steve
