Hi All
I’m tossing around the idea of moving up from my Cavalier 32 to something I can stand in. Being 6’6” is no picnic as a sailor.
I mostly singlehand and I have my Cav32 set up perfectly for me. But, and it’s a big but, I can only stand up in 2 places inside!
It’s really a daysailor for me, a great one though.
I went onboard a
Catalina 387 and it was as though they had designed it around me. Several inches of room above my
head everywhere in the
saloon and
galley, and a
bed in the aft
cabin that is 8’ long! Amazing
All the ones
for sale in Oz have the winged
keel shoal
draft. It just doesn’t look right to this old fella. I don’t need a
shallow draft yacht, plenty of deep
water here.
Should I wait till a fin
keel appear on the market?
Or is the wing keel version still a good sail
Cheers
Bruce
