Hello from Surfside Texas

Hi, been reading cruisers forum for a while and decided to register. I've sailed East Coast, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. I am looking forward to continue to get good advice from the forum. I currently have a 40 foot Caliber and it's at the age where systems are meeting obsolescence and need to be replaced so I'll be asking questions about replacements. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome, GOM!

I'm currently doing my own refurb on a 1974 Seafarer 29 on Lake Travis in Austin. I grew up in Houston and spent every summer at our beach house at Surfside. Are you at Bridge Harbor?

I'm a little new at sailing myself, having grown up on power boats, but most skills cross over. I'm currently replacing the electrical system, one circuit at a time.

I'm happy to answer what I can, and there are plenty of others here who can answer what I can't.
