Would love to se a complete list of all equipment. Also, how does the 220 electrical system work here in the U.S.? Is it necessary to covert over to 120?

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

Thanks for the replies and sorry for my late response.

Hood6, did you see the list of equipment on the blog (http://lagoon4sale.wordpress.com)? Let me know if you are looking for anything beyond that or have any questions at all.

As for the 220 power, it is a European manufactured boat and all of Europe uses 220, so for any planned cruising in Europe and the Mediterranean it is all set. We are Americans so all of our electric gear is from the US. For the last 2+ years cruising in the Mediterranean we have just used those little adapters for the plugs (works very well for computers or other electronics that can take either 110 or 220, which is shown in small print on the chargers) and converters (which work well for our electronics that are built only for 110, like our dustbuster). All our adapters and converters will come with the boat. It has worked very well. Most of the Caribbean you can get 220 or 2 phase 110, so that shouldn't be a problem. For the US, I have a couple of friends with Lagoon 380's who crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean in Nov and are currently in the US for hurricane season. I'll ask them about how their experience with their 220 systems has been the US and do a little research myself.

Sorry again for the late reply, I was diconnected for a few days. If anyone has any other questions at all please just let me know.

Thanks for the information. I would be interested in knowing how your friend is doing in the US with his 220 system. Beautiful cat.

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

We debating installing one permanently, but we couldn't settle on the best place for it. Taking the advice of several of our cruiser friends we purchased a 5 kilo portable washing machine with two tubs (wash and spinner, with the spinner being a very important feature to have). When not in use it fits perfectly in the vberth just to the left of the door. And when we want to use it, we just bring it out to the cockpit which allows easy drainage and moving clothes to the lines setup on deck. Once done, it just goes back in the vberth. Works with our inverter. Been a great addition. No more lugging clothes around searching for laundromats.

I like the boat a lot. Any idea what it would cost to ship the boat to the west coast (USA)? Also, when was the last survey? Looking forward to your reply. Have fun and be safe.

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

Glad you like her, she's been great to us and we'll miss her. We've never shipped her before, but I know some people who have used shipping companies as well as as delivery companies (meaning a professional team sails it there rather than putting her on a ship). I handed no idea what that would be to the west coast, but with the specs provided on the site (http://lagoon4sale.wordpress.com) it shouldn't be too hard to get a quote.

As for a survey, she was purchased new and we have been the only owners, so no survey has been performed yet. As part of selling process the buyer can choose to have a survey performed, just like a home purchase contingent on inspection.

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

To followup on the electrical questions I reached out to some friends and my Lagoon broker from my original purchase. The battery charger (Cristec CPS3OEM) accepts both 110 and 220, so it should work in the US without issue.

Thanks for the info. Water maker? We're making a few calls today on delivering or sailing the boat to the west coast. Do you have more pictures of the boat? Some from the stern and some that show the solar panels.

Thanks,

Gary

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

No water maker, however wouldn't be difficult to add one. I was going to install one, but after our first year cruising here I realized we wouldn't need it. With 2 x 300 liter water tanks, we can go around a month without filling up.

I definitely have a lot more pictures of the boat and can take any that I don't have. Right now we're in a remote spot with limited internet connectivity so every time I try and attach a picture it errors out. I'll post a picture of the stern and solar panels once I get on decent wifi.

Re: 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Owners Edition Catamaran - Outfitted and Ready to Cruise

Here are few quick shots. I wanted to provide a stern shot with the dinghy on the davits, and was only able to find two: first, the evening picture was taken back in 2014 in La Rochelle, France. The second is when she was on the hard in the spring taken with a fisheye lens so it looks a little wonky. The picture of the solar panels I took today. Let me know if there are other shots you are interested in. Sorry again for the delay, finding decent wifi for picture uploads has been a challenge recently.
