Charleston Marinas

Hi!

I have been moving my boat south for the last month from Annapolis and have planned to winter her in Charleston. I thought I was good in that I had a tentative reservation at Cooper River (now full) and another at the Maritime Center (no closed). I just spoke to Charleston City Marina and they are also now full for wintering transients. Does anyone know of any other suitable marinas in the Charleston area that you can recommend? Thanks!

Peter

St Johns Yacht Harbor and Bohicket Marina. St Johns has been going through a rough patch over the last year, but still has nice facilities. Bohicket is really nice, but if proximity to downtown is important it's probably too far out. Patriots Point is just over the bridge in Mt Pleasant. Nice but expensive.

Thank you! I've just spoken to both of them. At the moment Patriots Point might have availability (they are going to get back to me) but Bohicket was very nice and does also have availability. So I may end up there.

I know several liveaboards at Bohicket who really like the place. They say that there is a great little community within the marina.

Currently, we are happily docked at Charleston Harbor Marina, in Mount Pleasant across the river from Charleston. Water taxi and regular van shuttle to Charleston. Good amenities. I am looking at several empty slips as I type. 843.284.7061 is the telephone #. Alan

Interesting! How much are you paying per foot per month?

Re: Charleston Marinas

$23.50 per foot per month, plus a modest electric fee.
