Columbia 8,7 in Maryland

Hello All,
I have been a crew member and trainee for years and having a desire to spend more money I have bought a 77 Columbia 8.7 Hull# 31.


I am the third owner, her name is Full Sail and is fairly ship shape having been owner by an engineer and very well documented.


I am based in the Chesapeake Bay off the South River near Annapolis and plan to sail her into November here and then go to the hard till March (how do you people handle the sailing DT’s?).


I am not a young man (I was alive when they dropped the bombs) and this might be excuse to retire next spring or not.


Any way I hope to learn more from all of you.

Glad that you have already found your boat, and hope that she fulfills all your expectations. When you have questions, we're here to help (and confuse and obfuscate and argue and so on). Some of the advice that you will get is really good, too, and some is worthless or worse. It's up to you to figger out which is which!! That'll keep you young...
