thank you STU for your quick answer
I own a Maramu amel 46 ' and about 11 ' "high" (she carries 6.6 ' draft)
We leave in
Panama and will be spending summer in north est america uyp to Montreal. So, we were thinking: why get all the way down to
Panama to cross the
canal and not truck the boat to the
east coast? we would adore to sail there next summer. and it is far easier to sail south to panama than sailing north to BC!
A friend of us told us the more west you can go sailing is Duluth MI.
But we do not know anyone nor in MI nor in WA! We wouldn't like to go all the way at the western tip of the lakes and then have to get back!
That's why we need to figure out if doable and at which costs! also if no problem with FDA (for example) regarding parasite we might export to the pacific , etc.. well I'd say bureaucratic stuff!
may be do you know a boatyard or a truck company that I could call?
thanks again
