Greek Customs Regulations

Does any one know about the new Greek Customs Regulations that allow non EU crew to only stay 6/12 mths on your non EU boat.
This is regardless of Immigration/visa status and Transit Log.
We are Australians with a Greek National Type D visa valid for 12 mths from Oct 2016 and a Transit Log valid for 18 mths from Oct 2016 for Australian flagged yacht.
We notified Port Police and Customs that we were going away for 3 weeks.
That is when we found this out.
I suspect there are many cruisers in Greece who do not know about this.

I haven't heard this but it seems there was a similar thread awhile back. But maybe that was about needing to change the Captain every so often.

Are you going back soon to the customs office? I have a question that I'd like to ask them.

I have the CA document from Oct 2015 and presented a copy of the CA document in Greek to the Customs officers. They still maintain that the rule they are using for us is not determined by the Transit Log or our visa status.
