When it comes to the sale of a yacht between two private persons, we are asked on a regular basis if an example contract can be made available. Now there are many samples circulating the net, but we noticed that very often essentials are missing.

Very simple things like who is to arrange the Certificate of Withdrawal, in case the new owner decides to register it else ware. What has been agreed upon with regard to the inspection of the vessel? Etc, etc. etc.

The enclosed simple sales contract, in PDF format, can be freely used for the purpose it is meant for. Or pick and choose (copy/paste) those paragraphs you find useful for your own agreement.

on section 4:

If the inspection still has to take place, a conditions precedent may be
included. If the inspection shows that there are defects then:
 Seller will not pay for the repairs and there is no right of
annulment.
 Buyer has the right of annulment if repair costs amount to more
than __________________

why no seller will pay for the repairs ? or seller will deduct repair cost from agreed amount options ?
