Wide Beam Haul Out on Florida West Coast

I'm looking for a boat yard which can haul my Lagoon 400 catamaran (beam = 23'9" or 7.25m) on the west coast of Florida. I know of two by name, and I've heard of another one further south (Sarasota to Naples?), but I don't know the name of it.

I know of Progressive Marine Services in St. Petersburg, and Pensacola Shipyard.

I've heard of Viking in St. Petersburg and Riverhawk in Tampa, but neither seem to really be in business.

Can anyone point me to a boat yard with ~24' lift capability?

Thanks,
Tom

Call Barber marina on intracoastal at orange beach/Elberta Alabama. Just @6 miles from Florida.

I can vouch for Bob and Annies in St. James city. As they are a rail system call for an appointment. If the boat is out for more then a day there are restaurants and lodging within walking distance. We stayed at Two Fish Inn and found it very nice...

Re: Wide Beam Haul Out on Florida West Coast

Thanks to everyone for the quick replies.

Sidney777, I'll keep Barber in mind if I get up that far (I'm currently in south Tampa Bay area, but the previous owner used Pensacola Shipyard).

Cotemar, your list is much more helpful than lists of boat yards without capabilities!

Sid, what work did you have done at Bob and Annie's?

Thanks again,
Tom

Right next door to Viking is the service yard for Endeavor catamaran. They should be able to haul you with no problem. Yard manager is Scott.

I had the bottom stripped down to gel coat and had them do a barrier coat and bottom Paint. They also replaced a head gasket on a Volvo 2030 as well as both water pumps. We replaced 13 through hulls and also did some woodwork. They were pretty good at all of it and really good to work with.

These guys hauled and painted the bottom of our nautitech 40 this past May in ft Meyers beach
Marine Service – Fort Myers Beach, FL - Gulf Marine Ways & Supply Inc

I believe diversified yacht services in the same harbor can also haul you.

You could try Yacht Painting, Refinishing And Repair By Owl Creek Boat Works in Alva, just east of Ft. Myers, FL, on the Caloosahatchee, they handle some pretty good sized boats

owl creek looks great - unfortunately on the other side of a 55 foot bridge. don't know about OP's cat, but my mast is too tall by about 1 foot.

Re: Wide Beam Haul Out on Florida West Coast

Thanks for the continued suggestions. My mast is 63.5', so I guess Owl Creek is off my list.

Re: Wide Beam Haul Out on Florida West Coast

The 42ft Lagoon had 69ft mast off the water, as told to me by the owner. Barber marina is a beautiful, floating dock, 15 miles to food, no courtesy car & I hate the management. But you can get er done. Look it up ,5each, 20ft dinosaurs, replica of Stonehenge & I'm sure they will be nice if you spend lots of money. Oh, I forgot to mention the dogs running loose. Airport Mobile, Al & Pensacola.

Sidney777, do you also write product reviews for Amazon and hotel reviews for Trip Advisor? If not, you should!
